⚔️ Weapon System
Every character in Road to Shinigami starts with a unique weapon that stays with them for the entire journey. Instead of replacing your weapon with loot drops, you strengthen it by feeding it the souls of fallen enemies. As your weapon evolves through 9 stages, its base stats increase, you unlock a powerful character-specific passive, and you gain access to the end-game Weapon Upgrade (+1 to +10) and Stone Socketing systems.
🔮 Weapon Evolution & Talents
Your weapon evolves through 9 stages (level 0–8). The first 5 levels are achieved by collecting weapon souls from monsters. Levels 6–8 require completing specific quests. Each stage visually transforms your weapon and unlocks new abilities.
Stage 0 → 2: Soul Collection
Kill monsters to collect souls. Your weapon automatically absorbs them.
5,000 souls for Stage 1, 10,000 for Stage 2.
Stage 3: 40,000 Souls + Quest
Requires 40,000 souls AND completing the Shikai quest. Your weapon gains a visible transformation.
Stage 4: 100,000 Souls
The final soul-based milestone: 100,000 weapon souls. Unlocks additional combat bonuses.
Stage 5–8: Quest Milestones
Stages 5 through 8 are unlocked by completing specific character quests (Shikai → Bankai/Ressurection). Stage 6 is the "Bankai" awakening with a combat message.

💎 Kami Ball Economy
Once your weapon reaches its maximum stage, excess souls can be converted into Kami Balls — a soulbound currency used for the late-game Weapon Upgrade system.
Soul → Kami Ball Conversion
100,000 weapon souls can be converted into 1 Kami Ball. Use a Kami Ball from your backpack to add it to your balance. Kami Balls are soulbound — they belong to your character and cannot be traded.
Kami Ball Fragment
A smaller fragment that instantly adds 25,000 weapon souls when used. Found as rare drops from high-level content.
