🗺️ Soul Map System

Soul Maps are solo dungeon challenges designed for high-level players. Each map is a self-contained instance where you fight through waves of monsters to reach and defeat a powerful boss. Completing maps rewards rare crafting materials, unique items, and special currency.

🔓 Unlocking Soul Maps

Mayuri Soul Device

To access the Soul Map system, you must complete the Mayuri Device quest which rewards the Mayuri Soul Device artifact. This quest becomes available at Soul Level 500. Once unlocked, monsters throughout the world will begin dropping Soul Maps, and you can access the Soul Map interface.

🎯 Obtaining Soul Maps

Soul Maps drop from specific monsters across the world. Each monster type contributes progress toward a map drop. Once you've killed enough of a particular monster type (starting at ~8,000 kills, increasing with your Badge Level), a Soul Map will drop as a guaranteed reward.

📊

Kill Counter

Progress is tracked per monster group. Higher Badge Level increases the kill threshold but also raises the map tier. Elite monsters contribute significantly more progress.

Badge Level Impact

Your Badge Level affects both how many kills are needed and what tier of map drops. Higher Badge Level = higher tier maps, but also more kills required.
Killing monsters far below your Badge Level gives reduced progress (×0.5 at 1 tier difference, ×0.25 at 2+ tiers).

🛡️

Map Ownership

All dropped Soul Maps are soulbound to your character. They cannot be traded or used by other players.

💀 What Happens When You Die

Dying inside a Soul Map does not kill your character permanently. Instead:

🔄

Safe Return

You are teleported back to your saved position (where you entered from) with full HP and Mana restored. No experience is lost and no equipment is dropped.

🗺️

Map is Lost

The Soul Map is consumed on failure — you'll need another map to try again. However, the Dungeon Bless item can prevent this loss.

🛡️ Anti-Rollback Protection

If you disconnect or the server restarts while inside a Soul Map, your map is automatically saved and returned to your backpack when you log back in. You won't lose progress due to technical issues.
